The Gentle Touch...

I came across an interesting little snippet of information today in the August edition of Spirit and Destiny, a brilliant magazine to help women who want the best possible future.

But what it refers to is the power of touch when you've suffered a loss and it is all so true and makes perfect sense. It just confirms again the fact that massage is a great therapy for all kinds of emotional and physical imbalance. Massage has so many great benefits, I really can't recommend it enough and you should take time to consider the results it could have for you. Speak to your therapist, tell her/him about your issues and problems as a whole and let her/him treat you as a whole. Here is the little article I am referring to...

"If you've suffered a loss, book a massage. A Swedish study found that bereaved people who had regular hand or foot massages said the consolation at a difficult time had helped them return to a normal routine. It's thought massage activates touch receptors to release oxytocin, the 'cuddle hormone', leading to feelings of emotional wellbeing."
